Smart city projects require highly distributed physical infrastructure to connect municipal camera arrays, smart traffic signals, public Wi-Fi grids, and utility sensors. This equipment operates outdoors, exposing connection nodes to high humidity, UV rays, and lightning surges.
This case study explores how LANKABLE supplied over 120,000 meters of double-jacketed outdoor Cat6 PE cables and steel-armoured fiber links to support a municipal network upgrade. We analyze direct-burial challenges, surge grounding methods, and packet performance telemetry over 18 months of active deployment.
